This exhibition is held in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts till November 27. It is in Gallery 178. This exhibition is based on the Weng family’s art collection which consisted of a lot of works dealing with rocks. Natural rocks were appreciated for its beauty. The space itself also replicates the atmosphere of a Chinese garden because paintings were viewed in gardens where there is the most natural light.

Contributor notes

What is surprising, refreshing, most interesting?

I think what was surprising was the actual content of the exhibition. I had to attend this exhibition for an art history class and I didn't know that rocks were so loved in ancient China. It was endearing learning about people's love for rocks because the way people drew and wrote about rocks seemed very childlike and innocent.
